Somedays dads feel like one of these and other days you feel so much weight that you forget to lift your head
You are so far from spreading your wings or finding the fun in the matter, everything sits like lead
I can't hear the most important things on those days and I forget that I am still someone's child
This too will pass they tell me, but if you dwell it could last a while
But then the greatest thing I ever had the pleasure to be a part of
Was this project called a family and the precious lives I love
And so I show my tail again
And tell the tale I can
