Who am I

As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul length after thee

You alone are my heart's desire, and I long to worship thee

How did He walk in light of this

How can I be arrogant, but only in spite of this

Deliver me of this

They laughed at her for being slow, but I followed her for miles
She barely made a sound
I stood to face her but could not, she smiles
I sit beside her on the ground
As I behold her weathered form, and lines that say ancient
She gazes silently around
I ask where she's going, and she says, "patient"
There's the calling of the hound

"Walking slow, she says, I see more
Talking slow, I say less and hear more"
But where are you going, I asked
"I told you, patient, that it is where
I am waiting here," she said, then walked away

Forest and Streams

Forest Trail

Looking for that certain something, fixed upon that find
To all else around me, my eyes are growing blind
For one irritating grain of sand I fear I missed the shore
And for a single star that night, the galaxy was no more
So I stop to look back down, the path from whence I came
And all I see is beautiful, where once was only pain
I have this sinking feeling that's helping me to climb
Now every step is precious and looking back, sublime

Path under water

This was a very interesting and different perspective: Genetic Entropy (Dr. Sanford)

Great find, Lily and nice pics

Tell me again, one more time
Make it clear
Tell me everything; I need to understand
Why fruit keeps falling on the ground
Rotting before it's found
And here I am
Hiding in my head again
Close the door to my room
To ponder the cartoon
That is my life
Written to make people laugh
At the things I didn't say to be funny
But here it was the truth inside
My heart bursting fresh
Though all they could see and smell
Were the spoiled oranges I left

Happy Father's Day

Somedays dads feel like one of these and other days you feel so much weight that you forget to lift your head

You are so far from spreading your wings or finding the fun in the matter, everything sits like lead

I can't hear the most important things on those days and I forget that I am still someone's child

This too will pass they tell me, but if you dwell it could last a while

But then the greatest thing I ever had the pleasure to be a part of

Was this project called a family and the precious lives I love

And so I show my tail again

And tell the tale I can

Happy father's day, and that guy whose wife got him the Nephrurus Levis for Father's day - Wow! to be loved like that.

The Tannic Race

Race Runner

Feeling restless today so I went back out again
To make up for my earlier attempts at exercise
I went somewhere else, down by the red water
But I was not the only runner and much to my surprise
I ran in to this guy
His technique was a little different, short spurts of blinding speed
But for the second time today, one stopped so I had to take the lead
And then I ran to the tannic flat, at the end of the Crooked Creek
A short spurt for sure, but it left me with red cheeks
And on my way back out again I chose to follow scrubs
Which took me from the shade of trees into this desert hub
And finally now convinced by sun, I leave to find my car
So thirsty now, my head is pounding and fluid seems so far

If I turned every thing in to the pot
Every word that I thought
My favorite chefs are the ones that don't get distraught
What did she do to make it feed your soul
You had all the same ingredients in your bowl
But its what you couldn't see that made you take comfort
What she felt that took away the hurt
And as she stirred so careful of the heat
That she not burn or ruin what you eat
In her apron and top hat she glows
That's when you realize; its got to be the clothes
